America in Transition just debuted our Digital Series of shorts that explore love, family, and advocacy in a 25-minute compilation. We also have 19 min episodes tackling intersectional issues such as HIV criminalization, living as trans in the South, family acceptance, and trans exclusion from the military (click here to see descriptions for all of our episodes and ideas for educational programming that accompanies it).
Our team of trans activists including Tiommi Luckett, Dezjorn Gauthier, Karari Olvera, Andre Perez, and RJ Robles have developed and piloted several workshops that build on themes in the series. We’ve used screenings as an opportunity to build community, create dialogue, and activate accomplices in venues such as: HIPS (DC), United Latino Pride, MIT, and the Philadelphia Trans Health Conference.
We’re looking for partners who want to build community through storytelling. Participate in a nationwide screening day and virtual online conversation this Trans Day of Visibility (March 31st) by signing up to host an event.
